UP Ashtanga teaches you the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga with modifications and reduced number of poses in an hour long class. This is good for building strength, flexibility and fitness. Expect to sweat and work hard physically and mentally. Emphasis is on upper body and core strength and a good amount of endurance will be gained by consistent practice.
UP Yoga for Cyclists classes are targeted to the people who spend lots of hours riding and not enough time stretching. Since most tight people tend to suffer in similar ways, this class is for anyone who wants a class that will increase flexibility through deep stretching with breath awareness and visualization.
Most of the hour will be spent on seated postures. Emphasis is on opening the hamstrings, hips and back - the main causes of back pain and is a great class for runners, sedentary people, and those who train hard. You'll stretch and lengthen those tight muscles that may suffer from over-use.
